A sign-in sheet, end to end

The leads exist. They are on a clipboard in the passenger footwell. Lead speed is the entire game, and a sign-in sheet typed on Monday night is a sheet of people who already talked to somebody else on Sunday.

Flagged for you: two email addresses where the handwriting could go either way.

  • One sheet becomes many leads — a photo is allowed to contain a dozen people.
  • Referral cards keep who referred whom, which is the field everyone loses.
  • Listing flyers give up the MLS number, list price, beds, baths and square feet.
  • A lead already in Follow Up Boss gets updated, not duplicated.

Three ways in, and they all end the same place

Whichever one your people will actually use is the right one. You do not have to pick.

Text it

Your company gets its own number and a crew member texts the photo to it — no app, no account, nothing to install on a phone you do not own.

US carrier registration for the text-in number is still in progress. Email and the phone camera work today; we will turn text-in on for your account the day it clears.

Email it

Your company gets an address like [email protected]. Forward the photo, forward the estimate PDF, or forward the whole email a supplier sent you — the subject line and the body get read as context, not thrown away.

Works from any phone, any laptop, any mail app.

Snap it in the app

Open the camera page, shoot, done — it goes straight in. It installs to a home screen like an app but there is no app store, no update to chase, and it is the same login you already have.

Best when it is your own phone and you want to see the result.

From the tailgate to the CRM in four steps

Nobody types anything. The only human step is confirming the handful of characters a machine would be lying to claim it was sure about.

1 It arrives text, email or the app you press send 2 It gets read every field, plus a confidence 10–20 seconds 3 You confirm only the flagged fields when you have a second 4 It is filed contact, lead or job immediately
  1. Send the photo

Text it, email it, or shoot it in the app. Ten photos can ride in on one message — a sign-in sheet, four pages of an estimate, a stack of cards on a dashboard.

  2. It gets read properly

Not OCR. The model reads printed cards, handwriting, insurance estimate pages and measurement sheets, works out what kind of document it is, and pulls the fields that belong to that kind — a claim number off an adjuster's card, an MLS number off a flyer, squares and pitch off a measurement sheet.

  3. You confirm what it flagged

Anything it was not sure about is highlighted, with the photo next to it. You are reading four characters, not retyping a card. Everything else is already right.

  4. It files itself

Into JobNimbus, Follow Up Boss, HubSpot or Pipedrive as a contact, a lead or a job — checked against what is already in there, so the same homeowner knocked twice does not become two records.

The part nobody else does

It tells you what it was not sure about

Every tool in this category hands you a block of text and lets you find the mistake in a month, in a CRM, when a phone number does not connect. That is the actual failure mode of reading paper, and pretending otherwise is how you lose someone's trust permanently.

Snapfiled marks its own uncertainty at the level of the individual field. A card where the model read everything cleanly and one digit is soft comes back as: this field, this reason, here is the photo. You look at one thing. Not the card. Not the other eleven fields it got right.

That is also what makes automatic filing safe to switch on later — you can say "file anything above this confidence without me", and mean it, because the confidence is about something real.

Where this actually is

Snapfiled is new. Two companies use it — a roofing contractor and a residential real-estate agent — and they shaped it, because both of them had independently spent a month of evenings building a worse version of it before we met. That is the whole customer list, and you are reading a page that says so rather than a page with a wall of logos on it.

What that buys you, if you are early: the person who writes the code answers the support email, and if your CRM is not on the list it can be on the list this month.

Photograph Saturday’s sheet and see what comes back.
